Sorry if this is not the right thread for this. Wondering if someone can tell me if this is a valid routing.

YYZ-SFO
SFO-PVG (STOP)
PVG-BKK (STOP)
BKK-PVG
PVG-CDG
CDG-YYZ

It's a little backtracking with going back through PVG, but I did something very similar on a previous trip, and hope this might fall into a valid routing or something?

Also, since I am only using 6 flights, I'd love to add YYZ-LAS and back on the end of this trip, but I think that's probably pushing it?

Unfortunately I don't have a lot of flexibility this time, and the above itin is all I can find on my dates right now.

Don't see why not. You could do the YYZ-LAS as well.

You have 14639 miles to use between BKK and LAS - so add up your mileage, and if its below, its fine. Expect ~$400 in fees for CDG-YYZ alone on AC.

Looks like my question was moved to the proper thread, thank you mods.

To clarify, this would be my routing. Which would have some obvious back tracking. Is that ok as long as i'm under the MPM?

YYZ-SFO
SFO-PVG (STOP)
PVG-BKK (STOP)
BKK-PVG
PVG-CDG
CDG-YYZ
YYZ-LAS (STOP)
LAS-YYZ

yes, Aeroplan agents are not geography whizzes, they just let the computer add up MPM.

Wouldn't that be ticketed point mileage?
MPM is displayed on any normal fare quotation.

Like it matters.... Its MPM5 that needs to be under when you add up all segments.

Here is yyz-bkk on expert Flyer

YTOBKK-** 06MAR13

TICKETED POINT SURCHARGES APPLY.
GI M 5M 10M 15M 20M 25M

MPM AT 11900 12495 13090 13685 14280 14875
MPM PA 10357 10874 11392 11910 12428 12946

It's the 5M numbers we can use right?

Circle mapper says my trip is 25415, so I would be over?

One way or both directions?
Yes, the number is 5M.

YYZ-SFO
SFO-PVG (STOP)
PVG-BKK (STOP)
BKK-PVG
PVG-CDG
CDG-YYZ
YYZ-LAS (STOP)
LAS-YYZ
No, that wouldn't work. If you remove the last segment, it would.

You can't stick a return YYZ-LAS into it. You can only go through each city once per direction. In your case, YYZ has been touched twice in the inbound.

for your YYZ-BKK, you would use MPM5 PA (since you are going via Pacific)
for your BKK-LAS, you would use MPM5 AT (since you are going via Atlantic)

Its each way mileage. so YYZ-SFO-PVG-BKK must be <10874

you can check if for example BKK-PVG-CDG-EWR-LAS-YYZ would be under 12495, but I doubt it, hence backtracking thru LAS would not be allowed

Yeah it's 15389, so no where close. Thanks for the info.

However, everything thru SIN seems to be alowed, but you wont know till you try.

You can expect about $1000 fees on your ticket.
Published routings on SQ are:

Code:
/VIA THE PACIFIC/
DOM ROUTE VALIDATION APPLIES WITHIN ORIG/DEST COUNTRIES
 1. SEA-AS-LAX-TYO-OSA/NGO/FUK-SIN-SQ/MI-MEL
 2. SEA-SQ-LAX-TYO-OSA/NGO/FUK-SIN-SQ/MI-MEL
 3. SEA-VX-LAX-TYO-OSA/NGO/FUK-SIN-SQ/MI-MEL
 4. SEA-AS-SFO-SEL/HKG-SIN-SQ/MI-MEL
 5. SEA-SQ-SFO-SEL/HKG-SIN-SQ/MI-MEL
 6. SEA-VX-SFO-SEL/HKG-SIN-SQ/MI-MEL
So my assumption would be that you might be able to do it, but would need to work with an agent a lot.
Your saying that this routing could be valid?

I think you should be able to get it to ticket, but only if you route SEA-(LAX/SFO)-NRT-etc. Availability is a whole other story, though...

Thanks Pseudo! Yeah there was not so much availability! But I think I may have it!

SEA - SFO(UA) - NRT(NH) - SIN(NH) - MEL(SQ) P.O.T MEL - BKK(TG) - FRA(TG) STOP FRA - EWR(UA) STOP YUL - YVR(AC) - SEA (AC)

All in J (except the YVR-SEA leg, which I don't intend on flying). Does anyone see any problems? Can I go hound aeroplan?
