$575/pp...not bad, considering the BKK-CDG ride on the A380 is almost $300/pp

I almost cheaped out and did BKK-AMS-EWR-YYZ...would have been almost $250/pp cheaper, but then no A380 to CDG, and AMS instead of CDG...and UA back to YYZ.

Pseudo Nim is the .......he wrote a script to help search for flight combinations for me (it was a sad situation - 3 times flights booked up as I called to book them)! His script helped unlock combos I would have never thought to search!

Unless I'm completely mentally nonfunctional today, this seems totally valid.

What if no fare exists between departure and destination?

I want to book a mini-RTW from MDL to YUL (still have one return ticket left from the RGN deal...). TG flies from MDL to BKK and there is plenty of award availability based on EF. However, EF also says that there is no YY fare published between MDL and most of the airports that I have tried (Asia and NA). As a matter of fact, the only published fare I was able to find was between MDL and BKK. Is there any chance I will be able to book such a trip and if so, how can I know the mpm for this itinerary? FWIW, I have also tried to book a couple of itineraries starting from MDL on AP website and it could not find availability (which is not what EF said for the same dates) but I was never told that it was an invalid routing.

Wow... I think you'll have a hard time with MDL. But if you say you see availability on MDL-BKK, you may want to call in and try to build it segment by segment.

Worst case, you'll have to buy a MDL-RGN flight and build from there ... depending on season, should be between $95-150...

I think you are right. I went to TG website to try booking MDL-BKK and the answer was that it has to be booked from within Myanmar, so I guess AP will not be able to book it either.

I would like to start my mini-RTW in YYC, heading west to Asia, then Europe. I want to end in YYZ. Is this possible, or would I have to do something like set my last segment as YyZ-YYC and forego my last leg.

It is better for you to have a last leg, YYZ-YYC, and just not board it (since you will pick up your bags for customs anyway). The reason is, if you do an open jaw, they will forfeit one of your stops, which you probably don't want.

Can you actually resign the last leg regardless if paying for or reward?

Well, sure. it's definitely against the contract of carriage, but once you have your bags after customs in YYZ, it's not like anyone can force you to board if, you know, you're feeling sick after the long flight or something
