Moving Between Terminals Post Security in YYZ

Hi All,

Apologies if this is the wrong forum to post. I did a few searches but couldn't find an answer.

I am traveling with a co-worker tomorrow. He is leaving through Terminal 3 and I am leaving through Terminal 1. Is it possible for him to go through security with me in Terminal 1 so we can go to the Air Canada Lounge together and then transfer over to Terminal 3?

Thanks!

Jason

As far as I know, there is no way to transfer between terminals in YYZ without exiting and entering through security.

Also, it's more likely that he will not even be allowed into T1 because his boarding pass is for a flight in T3.

It's not like some other airports where you can just walk from terminal to terminal and everything is connected, they are completely independent buildings.

No, can't be done. There's no airside connection between the terminals. Even if there were, I'm guessing your colleague isn't flying *A, and so wouldn't be allowed into the MLL.

Thanks everyone. I do believe that this wont be possible due to the different terminals involved, however, to just make sure that knowledge is captured correctly I do think my colleague would have been able to enter the MLL based on this statement on the Star Alliance website:

Paid Lounge Membership Customers: Eligible Paid Lounge Membership Customers have access to any Star Alliance member carriers' owned Business Class lounges.

* Eligible Paid Lounge Membership Customers include United Airlines Red Carpet Club, US Airways Club - Star Alliance Upgrade, Air Canada Maple Leaf Club – Worldwide and Continental Airlines Presidents Club.
* Customer must present a valid eligible paid lounge membership card
* Customer must also present a boarding card for a same day Star Alliance flight departing from the local airport.
* Customer is entitled to one guest

My colleague is also flying on Continental.

Your guest also has to be flying on a *A flight, you can't just bring in a bum off the street. Since your colleague is on CO you would have been able to bring him in provided that he were able to access the lounge which he is not able to do because T3 and T1 are not connected as others have said.

Any rumours of CO moving to T1.

Would be nice to have all *A airlines in one place

Is there still no air-side transfers?

Connecting from AC (domestic, T1) to BR (overseas, T3).

Thanks.

Isn't it obvious? Only bums off the street fly UA/CO. :D

(I have, in fact, flown both UA and CO multiple times. You can find me under the newspapers in various parks across Ottawa)
