Aeroplan Miracles!
 

The year 2009 has been a year of miracles for me in dealing with Aeroplan...

An hour ago my wife was lamenting not seeing her parents for Xmas in Montreal. For a lark I decided to see if there were any classical seats to Montreal and lo and behold all kinds of availability! So now we will be spending Xmas in Montreal - she is one happy camper, her parents are even happier and I am their hero (for a change :D)...

Twice this year I booked two J seats to LAS about three weeks ahead of time and both times got the exact dates I wanted. My May 2009 RTW in F was booked six weeks in advance. There too I got all the flights I wanted except for a morning flight out of HKG instead of an afternoon flight.

Life is good hee, hee!

good to hear...i too was surprised how much space AP opened for christmas flights on short notice...back in mid to late Nov., there was huge space between YVR and YYZ for up to 4 people on the same flight on several flights...flights seemed pretty empty so at least they made the space available at the classic price..by then i had purchased but did manage to snag several J seats for other trips....so i guess it was good since the J seats were better value than my Y seats...

We also snagged two J seats during the Aeroplan Poins sale to Miami in January 2010 and Whitehorse in June 2010. At 32,000 each these too were a great deal.

Aeroplan points sale?
 

When was there an aeroplan points sale? I dint know aeroplan offered sales.

A few months back - a J ticket was 32,000 points instead of 40,000 points.
