All that has happened is a reduction in options. Turfing T+ fares from being SWU eligible at the window.

Well that all depends on the route, I've never cleared on any international flights within the 4 day window for elite for 5 years except this year, with upgrades clearing at the gate. So if AC is selling out the LMU before my upgrade clears which history shows then was difficult and will become even more so for me.
