Seat assignment when using upgrades....
 

Interesting....I upgraded an FRA-YYZ flight using my SE upgrades. Asked for seat assignment on the 767 and the SE agent gave me 7k...last seat in the section. Never much liked the last seat....often run our of meal choices and sometimes the seats don't recline as far.

Asked for a different seat. She comes back with 1k....equally as bad. I say, are there no other seats available....nope! Fine, I stick with 7k.

Hour later, log into ITN...check the actual seat assignment graphic....lotsa seats!

Phone back...say I WANT seat 3d. No problem.

What is with that? I guess when you are using an upgrade they 'steer' you to the less desirable seats?!

Weird, doesn't happen on CP, I always look up itn before I call in for upgrades and I can "tell" them which seat I want.

Maybe those seats just became avaliable.

I could pick any open seat on upgraded J just an hour ago. I called AC while having the ITN map up on the screen and I could pick any of them. (This is for YYZ-YVR on Monday)

Guys, what you are both saying is what I did!

All I am saying is prior to me knowing what seats were available they 'offered' my only back row or bulkhead in J....
