Cost of day visa to Zimbabwe
 

Will be in LVI and need to go to Zim for an activity, do they still have the day visa and is it $30?

I was in Zim in May. I think it was $30 or $35.

FYI - I believe Zam in now $135 for Americans

Zim visa was $35 at VFI in feb when I was last there (I didn't need one - visa free travel on a South African passport but the rest of my party did need them) for people on US passports. This was at the airport so may be different if you are crossing the bridge.

Of course, the border officers can vary the fee (up) if they feel like it so it pays not to look like you have too much spare money.

Nobody in VFI accepts Zim dollars so that's not a problem. Of course if they here a US accent they will say US dollars but in fact they will accept anything else including SA Rand, Zambian, etc

unless you do a 24 hour tourist visa, which I think is $50, for Zambia

I dunno about the cost of a day visa today, but they should be happy to see you - with almost any currency, other than Zim dollars (btw, they knocked off six zeros recently, iirc.) But Travel Document Services says the consular prices for US citizens are:

$60.00 Per Visa - Single Entry valid for stay up to Three Months
$75.00 per visa - Double Entry valid for stay up to Three Months
$95.00 per visa - Multiple Entries valid 6 months from issue date for
stay up to Three Months

I have read posts in this forum and on Zambian.gov and just need someone to clarify as best as they can.


I U.S. Citizen w/US Passport.

FLying into LVI, BUT staying in VFA AND flyig out of VFA.

Can I still get a $20 USD one day Zambian VISA?

Then It seems I have to pay $35(?) when I cross the bridge into Zimbabwe and get a VISa from them correct?

Please help....

For Zam at least it is 135, not sure about Zim since you are staying there.
