MRU international transfers
 

Is there an airside transfer facility at MRU. Coming from Europe on Air Mauritius and flying on to RUN, would I need to clear security and immigration, or could I just walk to the departure gate? Would anyone know what the inernational to international MCT is in MRU? Thanks, ps

Just did an international connection at Mauritius.

You go to the transfer desk, where they issue your onward boarding pass, ensure your luggage tags are attached to your next flight details online, you then complete an immigration card, see an immigration office, take the elevator down one level, go through security and you are back airside. Took us 25-30 min, but we were at the front of the queue. An hour would be adequete.

What I could not understand was the immigration requirement, even though we were not entering Mauritius.

It's an odd one, but IME South Africa and Vietnam did/do this as well.
