Flights to Harare.
 

We have flights booked with Ethiopian, LHR to HRE, later this year. I have just heard that both Qatar and Emirates are discontinuing their flights to Harare, my concern is that this may be related to safety issues?

Safety issues in what sense? I suspect the bigger challenge is the desperate state of the Zim economy.

My concern is in a way related to the economic situation, but more specifically to the maintenance of safety standards for aircraft flying into Harare.

I haven't heard or read anything about EK or QR pulling out. EK increased frequency not too long ago. If they are pulling out, I suspect it would be over the difficulties in repatriating ticket sales. HRE isn't too bad IMO and those two airlines fly to other airports which are far less safe.
