CPT Connection: Int'l to Int'l

I'm looking at the following itinerary that has me doing an international-to-international connection in Cape Town. I'll be on separate tickets and will have a checked bag.

Airlink, VFA-CPT, arriving 1620 on a Sunday
Qatar, CPT-DOH, departing 1940

Assuming there's no disruptions/delays, should 3'20" be sufficient? If Airlink can/will interline my bag, is a transfer possible without clearing immigration and customs?
These flights are part of my return home, and while I would obviously prefer things go smoothly, I won't be missing the fun part of the trip if there's a problem.

Thank you!

I doubt Airlink would be able to interline your luggage. Personally I'd clear immigration, collect your luggage and check in with QR.
