Seychelles Accommodations
 

I'm in the process of booking a trip to the Seychelles from Jan-Feb 2023. Wondering if anyone has any recommendations? What are the Hilton properties like? Not sure if it's actually possible to book the Marriott property with points as it shows no availability for the dates I want but then again it isn't showing availability at all.

Any insight would be great.

Been to the Hilton Seychelles Northolme and Hilton Seychelles Labriz. If you want to do things in and around Mahe, Northholme is a good launching point. I'd only recommend if you want seclusion on an island (Silhouette Island) where nothing else to do but relax then go with Labriz.

Go to Praslin/La Digue is my recommedation.

Just returning from a trip — we spent equal time in Mahé, Praslin, and La Digue.

Mahé: Four Seasons Seychelles
Hugely impressive views from the top villa category. Service top notch: any and all requests were accommodated and responses are quick via WhatsApp. Some rooms require steps to access so be sure to call out any mobility restrictions with the hotel ahead of time. Food was hit and miss — standard room service is pretty bad but some of the creole lunch options were very good. Very close to Michael Adams’ studio which was a nice bonus.

Praslin: Constance Lemuria
Lovely and unique hotel — like a luxury golf resort was placed into Jurassic Park. You can tell that the staff are well-trained and there were mostly no hitches, although responses via WhatsApp could take a while sometimes. I thought that their well-manicured beachside area next to Anse Petit Kerlan was even nicer than Petit Anse at Four Seasons (altho service was undeniably better at FS).

La Digue: Le Domaine de L’Orangeraie
We loved our stay on La Digue but you can’t really compare this hotel to the previous two (despite it being billed as the “only luxury hotel on La Digue”). The room was fine — clean and spacious. We had a nice view of treetops from the second floor (there are no real ocean views from this property). I wouldn’t call the staff “professional” per se, but they were universally friendly and eager to help when issues arose. It was very much a solid home base for our more slow-paced adventures of bicycling around the island to discover beaches.

None were perfect but all three were really excellent overall. Would recommend any of these.
