I've driven extensively in northeast Namibia and the main highways are quite good. Side roads are gravel and require slower speeds and more attention. I drove company sedans and didn't have a problem. I did however check to make sure jack, wrench and spare were in good condition, always had at least 5 liters of bottled water in the vehicle and carried my passport and N$10,000 in cash.
