URGENT: Cairo Visa On Arrival

Hello All,
I really need to know if there is a official document available online which states that
for a U.S. passport holder Visa On Arrival at Cairo airport is still available. When I
checked in at Lufthansa, there was a reference to E-visa approval required. They
mentioned a website to get the e-visa . (http://www.egyptvisa.com)
But the same website states that US Citizens can also use VOA. Many other
websites including traveldoc website is saying that it is optional. Really
need to know and some documented proof if LH denies boarding !
I am flying tomorrow and the website above needs 7 days time to process
e-visa so that option is not available to me..
Please assist....Thanks in advance....
UPDATE 1: I just checked Expertflyer and it also lists both options. Hope that is good enough
for LH ! In any case if you have traveled recently let me know of your experience. Thanks.
UPDATE 2: LH check-in was completely uneventful ! Have BPs all the way to CAI so it
should be OK I think...

Go with what TIMATIC (via EF or elsewhere) says.

Update

It was smooth. 1 minute to buy stamp and 1 minute for stamp on p.p. Faster than GE

did you fly into the new T2? I was there the other week and indeed it's a total breeze compared to the old system at T3!
Very modern and worked just fine. VOA on the right as you enter the terminal proper.

I do not know which terminal I landed into. But coming back (LX) was Terminal 3...
