LAX - CPT Aug/Sept - Flight Suggestions

Hi,

I'm new to the forum and was hoping to find some help on suggestions on flights.

LAX -> CPT 8/28
CPT -> LAX 9/19

Ideally finding the earliest AMS/LHR bound flight out of LAX as to have a long layover in either city.

Not tied to any airline, but aiming to not fly America carriers.

Thanks!

Here you go. You also might want to explore connecting via FRA on LH (LH/SA) or IST on TK if you want to visit either city (or earn miles/status on *A)

Via AMS on KL. You get two long connections in AMS

Via LHR on BA. You get almost 12 hours in London. Not as much as above but doable. Longer layovers will cost you more as I think they increase the fare as being stopovers.

Thank you!

Looks like the earliest Europe bound flights out of LAX are 330pm.

LAX-LHR-CPT not an option, as noted above? The long layover at LHR is a PITA, but a day/night room at the Sofitel (attached to LHR T5) may ease the pain.

I am of course assuming flying at the sharp end, and having disposable cash

I think the OP is looking for a max connection to go into town.

The ideal flight for cost is LAX-DOH-CPT on Qatar Airways, but I really don't want to spend 8h in Doha.

I figure since there isn't a direct flight LAX-CPT, I might as well spend the layover in someplace fun like LHR or AMS.

I really like the TK flight from LAX to CPT. You can also get a free hotel room (1 night for economy, 2 nights in business) for stopovers on this route, for any layovers over 24 hours. I'm actually doing a 2 day stay in Istanbul for the 3rd time when I fly between CPT and SFO next month. And IST is a great city to explore!
