35 min layover in ADD?

We are looking at the Ethiopia flight from Cape Town (CPT) to US. It has a layover in ADD for 35 minutes to change plane. Is this duration doable for us to make to the 2nd plane?? What if the flight from CPT has delay? What can we expect for custom?

Should we carry our own bags or checked? The flight also has a stop in DUB for 1 hr but no transfer.

Thank you in advance.

More details are needed. Is this on one ticket? What airlines?

Could you connect in (or depart from) JNB? The JNB-ADD ET flight arrives about 2 hours earlier than the CPT flight and would make for a much easier connection to the flight to IAD.

See below threads. Summary is that 35 minutes is more than enough to connect as long as the flights are on time.

Any experience connecting in Addis Ababa in a 2h time window?

ET - 20 min connection Intl to Intl in ADD?

Looking at the stats published by FlightStats it doesn't look like the CPT flight is on time a lot ... 64% on time and an average delay (when delayed) of 17 minutes

If the flight delay is under 30 mins, they'll probably bus the passengers directly to the LAX flight without having them clear the terminal.

US bound passengers will need to go through the TSA mandated secondary screening process, so they won't be able to do a tarmac transfer for them.

Worried about 30min layover

Hey.
So ive been reading up on the likelyhood of a successful 30min layover

I booked a flight from Incheon to Cape Town . With a 30min layover in Addis Ababa

If anyone could help me with the actual process on how to ensure that I do make my connection, i would appreciate it.

Im a bit worried about the flight crew not helping me properly

Chances are they'll hold the plane for you if one of the flights is coming in late. ET tends to pad their flight times and reduce their connection times.
