Mosquito netting

Traveling to Togo, Ghana, and Benin in a few weeks and will travel all throughout each of them. Do I need to bring portable mosquito netting with me?

Gosh, that depends.

Will you be staying in luxury air conditioned hotels, or spending every night in a pup tent?

This is definitely not a luxury trip... But also not sleeping outside. Staying in some local accommodations and small hotels.

Togo, Benin and especially Ghana are pretty advanced countries - tourist-friendly. In all but small cities, you should be able to find netting readily in shops or on the street. (...including some colorful bed covers). You may wish to get treated netting before your travels commence. On the ground in West Africa, I still struggle with identifying the quality/legit from the fake.

Awesome, thanks for the tip!

A change of topic, but do you guys know how easy it is to cross into Benin without obtaining a visa beforehand? Or is it possible...?

My most recent Benin trio was far too long ago to comment. I don't remember having a visa...circa 1989.
