Ghana transit visa on arrival still available?
 

I have on more than one occasion got a transit visa on arrival at ACC, with an onward confirmed flight ticket and a stay of <48hrs, without problem.

Checking timatic now, I see no mention of this being available - when it certainly used to be listed expicitly.

I last did this in May this year - has anything changed since then, or is this just a timatic update?

Cannot help with this - a Business Associate that I had dinner with this evening said that some people from the inbound flight did go to the VOA office, but I cannot put money on this. He flew in three weeks ago from Burkina Faso, so the airport checks may not be the same as LHR.

But, on another topic, close to the Holiday Inn at the airport, there is a new shopping mall. (I saw the construction but have not been there since the opening). But, there is a Lebanese restaurant in the mall that apparently is amazing. May be worth a visit.

Hopefully, off to Ouagadougou before Christmas.

Thanks roadwarrier. VoA is still available as before, and no issue with boarding at LHR. I only had 18 hours in Accra, so no time to try your Lebanese recommendation. By co-incidence, we might also be about to pick up some work in BF, but don't think I'll make it Ouaga - heading to Bishkek and Tashkent instead...

Great news about the VoA - enjoy Tashkent. Maybe, we will catch up in BF one day.
