4x4 @NBO - any advice

I need to rent a 4x4 @ NBO in Oct./Nov. for 17 days. Central Rent a Car (Car Hire Kenya) look good and seem to have a good reputation - but they are also significantly more expensive than some companies which offer a 4x4 @$75/day.

Any advice?

Sorry but if I'm not renting from a local friend, I would just go with Avis or Hertz and pay with Amex for the insurance. Less worries that way.

There are lot of guys renting 4wd in nairobi that are not well maintained. If you are heading to the bush, there is no AA service out there, so you need a vehicle that you know will be reliable and trustworthy. I too would look at Avis or Heryz, as their vehicles are new.
