Aer Lingus has no record of my bag. Unsure what to do.

I know it's not, which is why it's confusing everyone. My actual PNR starts with a 2. I thought maybe there was another Jones doing the same trip as me and the check in agent assigned it to the wrong passenger so I went to Aer Lingus' and all of their partner airline websites and put that locator and jones in the manage trip search but nothing comes up.
Thanks for suggesting EI597381, I'll suggest that to them.
Thanks!

Directly on Aer Lingus' site. My PNR in all correspondence with Aer Lingus starts with 2.

Fantastic news! Aer Lingus has located my bag. I finally got a baggage rep to listen to me about the wrong PNR and how my baggage number was not the one they were saying. He figured out my baggage tag started with 1A and apparently it arrived in IAD on Monday. Now they need to figure out where it is at IAD or if they sent it back to Dublin and schedule delivery.

However, all of this appears to indicate that they don't actually know where the bag is. Knowing where a bag was on Monday is not the same thing as knowing where it is today. For your sake, I hope it's located soon. It's almost certainly thrown into a pile of bags somewhere in IAD.
I called and told World Tracer this thinking that's what happened and they said that they couldn't see anything and it didn't matter. So for good measure I used the send a message feature on the world tracer site. It currently says: TRACING CONTINUES. PLEASE CHECK BACK LATER
OR: were you able to get a new/valid WorldTracer reference from this rep that "located" your actual bag?

I doubt they would send it back to Dublin. It should have been apparent from the baggage tags that the bag didn't originate in Dublin, so there would be no apparent reason to send it back there, and I can't imagine anyone at IAD thinking that this would be a good thing to do for an unclaimed bag.

It's not entirely clear to me how you can have a "working" World Tracer reference for this bag, given that up until now you did not have a "working" baggage tag number. But, out of curiosity - what does World Tracer say when you look up whatever it is that you use to look up your bag on their website?

At IAD I gave the information to the baggage rep and my baggage tag info but they didn't open a case for me despite saying they would. As for how I have a working World Tracer reference, I had to manually send an email on Sunday with a bunch of information and they created one for me. In my email I included the pictures they requested and explained the white tag was my bag tag, but they refused to believe me the white tag was my baggage number, and instead used the gate check baggage EI number, which is what perpetuated the issue of them not connecting the bag to me sooner. That's what I speculate anyway. I spoke to 5 or 6 baggage people over the past few days and every single one except this last person didn't acknowledge what I was saying - I was accused of losing my bag tag, shamed for not having a bag tag, and told I didn't know what I was talking about.
Now that the agent figured out my bag tag and updated the account it says my bag arrived in IAD on Monday, and now that it's updated he said someone will reach out to schedule delivery.

I find that as long as your bag tag is in Worldtracer correctly, they usually always find the bag.
When my last bag went missing for 19 days, it was because nobody put my claim into the system, despite me filling in forms and what not in SYD. As soon as I got back to Dublin, I put it into the EI system (circumventing the problem I had where it said I could not use the original boarding pass - I just used the one I flew in on) and by the time I got home, it already said my bag was found and in GLA. It's an interesting experience to go through (I've had it happen three times now - bag always came back, thankfully!)
