Emerald airlines: expected wait time for EU/UK 261 resolution

Hello, back in May I flew with Emerald Airlines (revenue ticket bought via Aer Lingus) from DUB to GLA. There was a 5 hour delay and I submitted a claim on Aer Lingus's website for compensation under UK/EU 261. Aer Lingus passed on the claim to Emerald and all I've received from them is an acknowledgment that they will look into the claim. It's now been 2.5 months since my flight. How long should I expect it to take before a decision is made and compensation is (hopefully) paid out? Thanks

Emerald are terrible at responding to EU261 claims.
I'm still waiting for a response from November...
I'm not holding my breath.

Maybe consider using a 3rd party claims company?

Thanks!

I received email confirmation from Emerald about 2 weeks ago for a claim for a flight I took in early April. They asked for bank details and said they would pay within a further 30 days.

Thanks for your responses. Dog250 , I'll give it a another couple of months before going to a 3rd party. If Kgmm77 recently got a response for a flight in early April, I'm hopeful they'll get to end-May in the next 1-2 months.

Just to update, I received payment last week. So they took the full 30 days after confirmation my claim was valid (which took over 2 months after my claim was submitted).

Thanks for the update.
I submitted another claim but didn't hear back.
I've submitted a claim with a 3rd party so hopefully they'll be able to achieve a successful outcome.

A whole 11 months after the flight! Crazy.

Thanks!

Update: With Emerald Airlines being MIA for many months (I last heard from them in July), I contacted Aer Lingus (the airline with whom I bought my ticket) once again in end-Oct and asked them to give me a status update. They quickly responded, saying that they had escalated the matter to Emerald Airlines. I heard back form Emerald Airlines the next day confirming that I was eligible for compensation and they sent me a link to fill in my bank account details. The 28 day wait for receiving the payment has begun!

This thread has just reminded me that I'm still waiting on a claim from 9th March. Got an email from Emerald on 3rd July acknowledging the delay but nothing since, must chase them today.
