Knock - immediate turnaround?

I'm curious to try flying to Knock. There's one rotation from Gatwick, so to do it as a day trip flight I'd need an immediate turnaround at Knock.

Does anyone know the airport, and whether it would be possible to run round to board the flight I got off?

It's tiny, but as I recall has a separate arrival and departure path .. so you would have to exit and re-enter .. no transfer route that I know of and arrivals/departures are segregated.

Provided you were amongst first off and you already had your boarding card for the return I'd say you'd almost definitely be okay .. main risk would be if there's a flight departing shortly after yours which made security a bit slow ?

I can't help with the query but curiosity compels me to ask why would you want to fly to Knock for a back to back?

Don't forget your 'contribution' to the collection to get through security

Does that come with an indulgence, perchance?

I've done it in another way now, flying FR from Liverpool and back on EI, so B2B isn't necessary

I've never been to Knock, and I'm collecting airports so to speak.

I thought that might be the case. Need to pad out your northwest Europe airport map.....next stop Donegal on EI-regional

You'll have to come out and go back in (and put your €10 in the collection plate) and it'll be grand

but why?

I hope to do a B2B on Dublin-Donegal-Dublin on the mid-day flights next Spring. I assume like Knock it will be possible if I already have both boarding passes. Has anyone done this successfully?

Funny you ask this and I happen to see this thread... But last year there was a Jet Blue business class fare that when combined with an EI flight or two after landing in London would dump all the Jet Blue fuel surcharges and make a fabulously priced transAtl lie flat fare. In one of the hints on how to get the discounted pricing (which were supposed to be veiled but cheeky), I suggested people "knock, not once but twice for the best discount" and there were some routings that in fact necessitated immediate turnarounds in Knock. Never bought one though...

Just to follow up, having completed this, I think the issue at Knock would be the payment of the €10 indulgence. A pure B2B would be no problem at all, but the question would be whether the payment window and security was open for a quick turnaround. The passport control was very quick and easy, with seats at the front or rear you'd be out landside while other passengers were disembarking, the question would be whether you could get back airside in time (with a staffed channel, no problem).

And what a lovely corner of the world it is, lovely approach through clear skies when I did it in late December.
