New to travel new to EI

I am an experienced international traveler, but have never flown EI nor gone through DUB.

My niece and her 18-year old daughter are flying this month to London from LAX, then back home from Paris. They are very inexperienced travelers, nervous but eagerly anticipating a grand adventure.

They will fly LAX-DUB-LHR then CDG-DUB-LAX. I looked up Expert Flyer and see all fights in DUB connect in Terminal 2.

1. Any words of wisdom for this connection? Easy? Hard? Any pre-clearance?
2. I think I remember hearing they will check in at LAX T2 then depart from TBIT. I can't find confirmation on the EI website. I need to know where to drop them and their luggage.

The 18-year old has worked to earn the money for this trip herself. She is super-excited.

Connections will be very easy in DUB. No need to leave airside and bags will be checked through and boarding passes issued for both sectors of each flight at the origin. She will preclear in DUB on the way home and arrive as a domestic passenger at LAX. Which is very handy!

Can't help with Q. 2. Sorry

Well youve lost me. It would seem very clear from that where to drop them off?

Not sure where you've heard this. T2 is a Skyteam terminal and EI isn't part of Skyteam. The LAX website says that they should be dropped off at TBIT.

Yeah, I think it's TBIT. I will allow plenty of time and go in with them just to make sure. I was all set for TBIT until I read, somewhere, "check in at T2 then walk to TBIT".

Thanks, all, from Sunny Southern California!
