Aer Lingus vs Aer Lingus Regional carry-on size

We are flying from Seattle to Dublin tomorrow Oct 15. The carry-on bag size limits are quite different between the two carriers Does this mean we'll have to check our carry-on luggage when we fly from Shannon to Edinburgh, and Edinburgh to Nice?
