May be too late for the flyers of the 4 Oct flight (now delayed to depart at 9 AM 5 Oct, so a 16 hour delay!) but heads up to anyone scheduled on tonight's flight for 5:20 PM - cancelled due to ops. Managed to get rebooked via BA via JFK though not my preferred airport.

I wonder what has been going on this weekend. if you look at The Lingus Source ? Aer Lingus News and Information for the last few days, there have been flights cancelled, delayed, operated by ASL Ireland (DUB to JFB) and substitute aircraft from Titan 767 (UK), and Hifl using A330 and A343-3. All cited crewing issues - though not specific whether it was cabin crew of flight deck crew. The fact that Aer Lingus pulled in wet leases from different airlines and in the case of HiFi a far worse product, means they were clearly short but they now appear back to normal.
It may be a blip on the "crewing" front, but fairly inexcusable for a national carrier who's schedule is known months in advance
