Terrible chase aer lingus experience

Chase opened up my Aer Lingus card with no Aer Club number attached to it.

Figured it would be assigned. Never was.

Statement closed. No mention of account.

Called Chase. No account number.

Chase gave me Aer lingus number.

Wrong number

Called a different Aer Club number.

Waited on hold for an hour. No answer.

Called Chase back, told them to sort it out.

Said I would receive an answer in 7-10 business days.

I said why not research it tomorrow and have a real person call me back.

Told them basically to refund fee and close card.

i don't need the headache.

I will reapply in the future perhaps, but with an account number first.

Terrible experience.

Annoying/stupid that they didn't sign you up for AerClub, but once you found out they hadn't, why not join EIAC online yourself and give Chase the account number that would have been generated?

Seems silly to have closed the account over something easily resolved.
