alcohol in economy?
I can't find a relevant thread on this, so I started a new one.
I'm thinking about flying Chicago -> Dublin in economy. Is it true that Aer Lingus does not have complimentary alcohol on board? I'm quite surprised since Aer Lingus is usually the more expensive option. Thanks! |
They neatly duck the question on their website, don't they... https://www.aerlingus.com/experience...limentary-meal
It does specify "bar service" but doesn't specify if it's paying. |
exactly! to dive deeper,
"It’s our pleasure to serve you a delicious complimentary meal on every transatlantic flight. Soft drinks and water are also complimentary, and we carry a full bar with alcoholic beverages and snacks from our bia treats range at reasonable prices." "we carry a full bar and snacks at reasonable prices" Is it reasonably priced full bar and snacks? or is it bar + reasonably priced snacks? |

There was still free beer and wine on Aer Lingus TATL flights in 2000, the first time I flew with them. I don't remember exactly when it stopped being free but it hasn't been free for over 10 years.

I would be surprised if they bring it back free again. They make a fortune from selling beers, wines, spirits onboard TATL.
