Aer lingus connecting onto Cathay

Hey all.
A first for me. Have booked a rt trip to HKG connecting in AMS and CX on from there. Aer Lingus doing the connecting flights.
I only do hand baggage for these trips. Normally take a standard wheeler and a backpack.
Will I have any issues with this on the Aer Lingus flights?
