Promo Codes actually working
Hi
I searched through the net to find some promo codes for a Aegean flights. But actually none of them are working. I tried mydealz and worthapenny. It shows some 30%, 40% off flights coupon codes but when I enter them in the booking masks on Aegean its not valid. Also the redirection links to Aegean do nothing, shows normal prices at the end. Adblockers are all turned off. Am I doing something wrong here or are these coupon sites just fake to get clicks? thanks regards Erich |

So yes, all those other websites are just shamelessly click-baiting. |

thanks Erich |

I have never... EVER been able to find any working coupons on such websites for ANY website or company (not just Aegean), apart from promo codes for which the online shop, airline etc. already had special sections set up, like, for example, for the VISASUMMERXX25 in Aegean's case currently (where XX should be replaced with the country of origin, like UK, DE, NL, FR, IT, etc. etc.

As I understood it, the departure of your booking has to be from belgium for the BE code to work.

I am starting my journey in brussels. I usually only see the countries being eligible for such promotions, for which Aegean also has the corresponding language setting in the selections on the website. Also sometimes not even all of these countries would be simultaneously having an active discount code. I haven't checked all possible country codes myself during this promotion, so I don't know. But anyway, from Brussels you certainly have quite a few options around you to start your journey from a country, which is included in the discount codes, if the savings make it worth it. |

Has Belgium "traditionally" been part of such promotions before? (honest question)

Do have to really pay with a visa card or can it be any credit card?
|
How could it be any other card when they say "AEGEAN has partnered with Visa", "Book now with your Visa card" and "Automnvisa25"?

That said, OP him/herself could be the datapoint they want to see in this world! |
I asked because the discount was applied on checkout, and there I didn't even enter my credit card yet. I wondered if the discount would then be deleted if I would enter a Mastercard for paying. I didn't try that far.

That did make me think though - are sales like this really a good business investment for Visa? Well obviously they are, but who stands the cost of my 30 to 40 Euro saving? I'm guessing both A3 and Visa split it as they both benefit and there are probably behind-the-scenes fee discounts going on between the airline and Visa too. But is there really such a thing as brand loyalty between Visa and Mastercard, or whoever? I currently have four cards and I do try to have at least two different "suppliers" in case of a problem while travelling, but I honestly had to dig out my cards and look which was which (one Visa and three Mastercard). The thing is, I (and I suspect 99.9% of people) really don't care which one I use as long as it works. |
