For example, people from the USA or the UAE flying to Greece (or elsewhere) for their vacation and connecting (to the islands or elsewhere) using A3 instead of SkyExpress or Volotea. Or, a completely different case, flying from the USA to Africa and getting to their destination faster than having to go through Dubai on one ticket. Clearly not particularly helpful to Greeks or Western Europeans but, as you most certainly are aware, there are "aliens" living on planet Earth.

If so, then that probably then comes with not being able to redeem A3 miles for EK flights.
Given A3’s pattern of charging fuel surcharges on A3-issued award tickets for partner airline-operated flights, I likely wouldn’t want to redeem for EK flights anyway and instead stick to using them for SK long-haul and some other stuff.
