Reading this whilst on a Aegean flight waiting to finish boarding... (In fact, one to Larnaca with an unusually huge amount of Turkish and Azeri athletes on it) — that's actually somewhat charitable since some FFPs would make flying on their own metal a prerequisite.

I would have expected 48.000 rather than 70.000. However, I guess the choice of 70, while 12 remains 12 shows that they really want you to either fly to Greece once per year or lose your status. Actually seems pretty clever. Just telling people that if they want the easy gold status, just send Aegean some business. A lot of airlines don't even give you an option in that regard. So at least they have an alternative method.

That's how I've been doing it. (Except when everything was locked down, but my status got extended.) "I have to visit Greece annually to easily maintain my status? When there's cheap fares to Europe on the regular, so I can access A3 flights? I SUPPOSE I could do that..." LOL
