Aegean / Olympic Air - 15070 error while modifying booking
Hi All,
Hope you are doing well.
I booked an Olympic Air flight from Athens to Zakynthos via Aegean website. Now, whenever I try to see my booking, I see three messages on the top:
1. "A schedule change has occurred on this trip. Please acknowledge it and choose your trip options again (seats, meals,...) (15070)"
2. "Changes cannot be performed online for this booking. For more information please contact our Reservations Department at +30 210 6261000."
3. "The outbound flight cannot be modified."
My cabin class is "Economy", fare family is "Flex" and booking class is "L"
I can see that the departure time has been changed from 20:15 to 20:10 (arrival time remains the same). Now, I wanted to modify / cancel my booking given the pandemic. How do I do it? If I try doing it through their customer care number given above, (i) I will be charged an additional fee, right? (ii) I am not sure whether I will be able to get through to them given that my flight is in June, (iii) of course, I will have to pay hefty telephone bill for this international call, given that I don't know much time I will be put in waiting on the phone.
So, my query is that is there another way out? Has anyone been in this situation before? I tried e-mailing them too, but they say they would take 45-60 days to reply to me. Thank you.
Hope you are doing well.

You won't be charged for the change if you call because you can't do it online. If the flight times have changed, even by 5 minutes, you have to accept the changes (or not) and that's why the booking is 'locked' from online changes. Normally you would have received an email advising you of the changes and asking you to contact them. I would just email them confirming that you're happy with the new flight times. Once that is confirmed (i.e. they have amended the ticket), the booking should then revert to normal and you will again be able to modify it online. Of course, that's how it would go in 'normal times' but.....

Yes, you are definitely right for the normal times. Unfortunately, they won't respond to my email before 45-60 days as per them. So, email doesn't work. Will call them closer to the date. Don't want to swamp them with more calls. It seems they have been responding on twitter but somehow I am not able to see my tweets to them. Let's see how this works. There was no e-mail alert regarding this. I found out when I tried to check the status of my booking.

I received a reply from them over twitter. They said that I could opt for the 18-month voucher. My booking was Flexi which meant I could change the date of travel to anytime next year with no modification fee. But the voucher still sounds better. If the voucher is unused, I will get the refund. My only hope is that Aegean doesn't go bankrupt by then,
