To prevent thread drift and separation, this is a consolidated thread to document all A3 actions/issues/solutions etc related to the COVID-19 virus. Several previously raised threads have been consolidated into this one. Others where the information and/or advice is now outdated because of the speed at which events move have been closed.

Please use this thread to document actions related to A3 only. General COVID-19 discussions should be made in the dedicated FT forum: https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/coronavirus-travel-773/

This is your wiki, so please feel free to populate it with useful information as it emerges and evolves.

Coronavirus COVID-19 - Aegean policies, responses, help & advice ["noise free"]

Due to the Coronavirus, a waiver for all flights on the network is put in place. All flight from today until the 20th March can be moved at a later date, irrespective of ticketing rules.

This is very generous. Very interesting. Seems open ended to changing dates.

I'm not sure a lot of major European carriers can afford such a measure.

Must the rebooking be done via their call center? Tried to change a booking within the waiver period to alter date online, and I still need to pay a rebooking fee.

Indeed the rebooking must be done through the call center and you don't have to pay also the €20 call center fee.

I wonder if this applies to award flights on other airlines or just Aegean's own network.

i would say from the wording, and given the original flights are still operating, then any fare difference would still be payable - there’s only mention of the change fee being waived.

I have changed three of my flights since Aegean's announcement of the waiver and I had to pay -as expected- any price difference. The original bookings were in GoLight and by calling the call center I managed to change my flights without paying neither the €35 charge applying to GoLight fares nor the call center fee of €20.

Of course!!!

Otherwise, it's open to abuse.

A3 are already being too generous. Allowing people to exchange tickets from a date where prices are low to a date where prices are high is not going to happen - nor should it.

Answering my own question upthread....

''I wonder if this applies to award flights on other airlines or just Aegean's own network.''

After asking on Twitter, Aegean have confirmed the waiver applies to reward bookings on other carriers too.

Are waivers on tickets to be followed by waivers for A3 elite status requalification?

I'm hoping for at least an extension. The virus situation may take months to be resolved.

Aegean flights cancelled [due to Covid-19]

So only Italy affected by Aegean cancellations?

Have no cases of coronavirus been confirmed in Greece?
