Smile Amazing Thai J Fare

Will be flying Thai business soon to retaining my A3 gold status for the PVG to DXB via BKK route. Used to fly Singapoare airlines on the same route (PVG to DXB via SIN) in economy, but now the same economy fare (W/H) will only give you 75% of miles flown (it was 100% two years ago) after the devaluation.

For the fare paid for the Thai ticket (1.8K USD), I can accumulate nearly 20K miles, which is amazing, looking forward to the Thai services!

Yes, one can. I've flown several times ATH-BKK-ATH in J with TG, and a couple of times SK in coach (Intraeuropean, though). Day and night!

Might as well fly PVG-IST-MIA on TK J for $2,115 to enjoy 4 long haul TK services.

You don't mean you prefer SK or even think they are comparable, right?

I prefer SK over TG for intra-Europe itineraries. Quicker, cheaper, and much less fuss.

Is that really amazing? CX is selling J tickets for US$1450. Not helpful if you want to earn Star Alliance miles, but you would get a similar value of miles in oneworld, the price is rather cheaper and the airlines are comparable.

How is going to Miami useful if the OP wants to go to Dubai?

SAS doesn't fly to Dubai any more so not sure how the OP could pay "half" of that.
