Miles accrual ZRH -> BKK
Hi guys
I was looking at a nice fare, but was wondering about the miles accrual. I have found the following: dinsdag 9 april 2019Swiss 4300 Economy (T) Boeing 777-300ER Operated by Thai Airways (Duur van de stop: 02:20) Vertrek: 13:30 Zürich (Zurich - ZRH), Zwitserland Aankomst: 05:30 Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi - BKK), Thailand This flight books in T by Swiss, but is operated by Thai. Do I have to check the miles accrual table for Thai Airways (50%) or Swiss (0%)? I will also have a connection flight with Bangkok Airways (OW). Can I credit them immediately when checking in, or should I credit them after, since I'm booking with *A? Thanks for your help! |
Unless you find somebody who has that exact eperience it's close to impossible to say. You will get the miles corresponding to the TG fare class the LX T maps to (and certainly not the LX miles), which could be their T or anything else. You can try to find out by calling Swiss. Moreover, Bangkok Airways earns nothing, even if it is owned by TG. Finally, you can obviously try to retro-claim once you know what fare class you actually flew, and then choose appropriately. If you are *G, though, you will not have benefits such as extra luggage, although you could still use the lounges by showing your card.

Oooops, mea culpa, I thought OP meant Thai Smile. I should wear my... glasses when reading the posts. :)
