Not sure whether you fly on July 26th or 27th.
According to ExpertFlyer:
A3 609 (July 26th): There is no availability at all (both in business class and economy)
A3 609 (July 27th): C=3 (and no availability at all in economy)

Guys they re using coupons as op-up instruments lately, that’s what I was hoping for
re seating, my seat (upfront economy 4a) shows as reserved on the app but I can’t complete check in as I haven’t paid yet. If I live it till last minute do you think I ll get it for free?

from ATH-KRK, 4A today. it worked on my otp-ath-otp trip weeks ago as well. no problem. they will keep that seat until you will fly.

Sometimes I think it's a function of of how many rows are allocated to C (being in multiples of 4 I mean). You're more likely to get an upgrade if there 9 of 12 seats sold than if there are 7 of 8, for example. If Y isn't full I guess they're more likely to open up extra C class rows. Just two rows (as in the case we're discussing) is VERY low for ATH-LHR. In my experience there has always been at least 4 and sometimes as many as 7. Maybe it's the time of year - they know they can sell extra Y seats, probably at a higher price than the first C class seats go for (I've actually seen flights on ther website where Y was more expensive than C).

yes, thats the trick i was talking weeks ago. today I just tested it again, it worked. add your boarding pass in Wallet and a couple of hours before the flight the boarding pass from your Wallet will update with 4A, in my cases the gate agent said nothing and it didnt beep beep from ATH-KRK, 4A today. it worked on my otp-ath-otp trip weeks ago as well. no problem. they will keep that seat until you will fly.

That does look like the up front seats are given to elites. However 6A...imho not a great seat. Of course that depends on your preference, but I dislike window seats in economy. And at row 6 you don't have the extra legroom...so personally I would prefer 16D to 6A. But I guess one could get lucky as well, and end up with 4D..
