With the evolution of the Miles&Bonus program, there are a number of threads on this forum that contain outdated information, plus a further set that - whilst describing the new program - contain conflicting information that has only been crystallised as we all discover how certain aspects of the program either work or are interpreted.
It is perhaps therefore unsurprising that many new members find searching through this myriad of threads a little daunting, and consequently they post a question in one of the FAQ threads.
This tends to irk those who've been around for a while who expect the new posters to at least do some basic searching before posting a question that has probably been asked many times before. This also causes the forums to become very congested and less easy to read through with the same question being asked and answered many times.
I am therefore creating a thread, which will be stickied, for anyone to ask any question they like about the M&B program where they are unsure or it's not obvious where they should be posting it.
There is no such thing in this thread as a stupid question, no issue with asking a repeat question, and any answers should be 100% flame-free. I will take a dim view of anyone that abuses a member or provides a less than helpful answer (such as 'do a search') to any question asked in here, because this is being created to benefit all of us so the other threads flow more cleanly. Thank you for your co-operation on this.
It might be that I move questions to more appropriate threads so they receive an answer more quickly, but if I do so I will always add a note to indicate where they originated, and ask that the flame-free answer principle be respected.

If and only after your upgrade actually clears, then the vouchers are shown as "used" (they don't "leave" your account, you can still select to see them if you want, it's just that the default option is to only show available vouchers and not expired/used
). It can also take a couple of hours between when you receive the confirmation e-mail about the successful upgrade and when the vouchers actually get marked as used in your account.

matio_svk miles credited correspond to just 1 segment, so I'd say that it will only count as 1 segment too.
You can however book the individual segments separately from each other, like JSH-KSJ for example costs 1 Euro less but delivers the same miles, KSJ-AOK costs 5 Euro less etc. Then they should count as however many segments you book separately, even though the flight number remains the same for all flights.
Of course I've never tried this out myself.
Edit: If planning to take those flights back to back, then booking separately could present a problem. If they really only have 25min before taking off again, then I'm assuming, that everyone going to the next destination will stay on board, however with separate tickets your "next" boarding pass won't get scanned at the gate that way... I don't know...

Many years ago, before Aegean was "born", when this (these) flight(s) was (were) operated by the "old" OA, there was a fourth leg (Siteia-Heraklion) as part of it. I always thought of booking it to visit Rhodes and, at the same time, taking a glimpse of the two islands in between. The reasons I never did was that I never had free time and, most importantly, it was always sold out when I found an empty hole in my work schedule. More than half of the passengers I saw disembarking at HER (that was at the time when we had acceess to the roof of the airport while waiting for the arrival of a flight from Athens carrying friends or relatives - OA was almost always late
) consisted of soldiers coming home for a few days. Interestingly, there were additional legs to this flight joining Rhodes to Alexandroupolis (via Limnos I think), but these disappeared after one or two years, along with the HER-JSH one.

I am pretty sure giorginho will know this. We cannot see the meal/seat option before hand if we have an open request for an upgrade for the return flight right? The flight for departing cleared business class.

Afaik you can only pre select meals and seats once your Ticket is reissued in Business.
As there is a deadline for preordering meals, so on upgrades cleared in short notice you might only choose onboard.

(I actually don't have an exact explanation for that either, but I'll try too

Anubis13 What vectrox wrote and, if I understand your question correctly (meal selection for outbound in confirmed business class not available), it probably hasn't got anything to do with the pending upgrade request on the inbound flight, but perhaps with the fact that Aegean generally won't offer meal preselection very far in advance (or at all!) on their seasonal routes! (well, at least according to my own experience with them, as well as the experience of a couple of friends and family members, if they do offer it on some seasonal routes, then it's not a regular occurrence, or it usually becomes available on short notice, say within the month prior to the flight, btw. are the flights you mention in the next days of far away in the future?)
I've also had tickets booked 11 months in advance for "year-round" routes, which, of course, also initially lacked meal pre-selection (it was added later on).
Also worth noticing, that when you see meal options for your flight, but can't complete the reservation process online, you can call Aegean and ask an agent to select your meal for you (had to do this once for a children's menu, in general the "special meal" options are available for all flights at all times, but the reservation process will error out on various occasions. The phone agents will initially insist, that you book the meal online, but they get that it's not working they can help out)
Now I'm only guessing at this point, that this has something (or "also something") to do with how the booking of the business class ticket was made, but I still haven't figured it out (an example from our last flight: My one son and I had purchased our tickets together, fully paid in "cash" in advance and could both pre-select anything we wanted. My wife had an award ticket and my other son was booked via customer service by paying his fare as well in "cash". So even though we all were booked directly in business class, out of the 3 reservations only my own (+ 1st so) was able to actually reserve any meal we wanted, my wife's and other son's reservations both errored out!
For our next flight in business class (between "year-round destinations", so nothing seasonal there), similar case, 2 fully paid tickets can pre-select meals, the other two (award tickets) can see the meals but error out!
However I've had numerous cases in the past, where meal pre-selection would work fine on award tickets.... (And that's quite a different case than not having a meal pre-select option at all under "my booking".)
Aegean's IT can sometimes be like man's soul (an abyss

So yes, If Anubis13 is asking why it is impossible to select a meal on the outbound flight with the upgrade cleared, it should indeed not be caused by the pending upgrade for the return flight.
So appart from the usual unusual-A3-IT with unpredictable hickups (as discriped by giorginho for e.g.) I would Guess one of the following problems:
-> Ticket not yet correctly reissued (especialy when your flight is still quite some time ahead, this can take some time - would also explane why you have also trouble selecting a seat).
-> Too far in advanced (pre selecting meals is only possible a few month in advanced even on non-seasonal routes - but you should be able to reserve seats).
-> Too late (there are time limits until when you can pre select meals and reserve seats before the flight departs).

Good afternoon guys,
thank you for your replies. My ticket cleared for upgrade this morning, the confirmation from reservation office has arrived in my email and i fly Sunday evening. I can understand there might be a cut off time for meal but for the seat it will be available in acouple of hours for selection in any case.
I confirm for flights in the far future you cannot select a meal(ie I cannot select a meal yet for a flight in January but I can for November, actually i could a couple of moths ago already.
PS: Of course I think I can bypass that i think by setting in the profile a specific meal type but ok

Yep - Too late for the meal (at least online). But you could call them for seat reservation and a try to request at least a special meal.
