Miles needed to renew after new program
 

Hey guys

The app is still showing my tier and award miles as the same..

I made gold but i am trying to see where my current balance of miles towards the renew is listed (flights I've taken after the updated m and b)

If I log on to miles+bonus, either from the app, my phone or a computer, I don't see an actual tier miles balance, only an award miles balance. Where do you see you tier miles balance? As far as I can see, there is no way of seeing an actual number representing the amount of tier miles you have earned in the current qualification period. However, if you deduct the "Required number of tier miles"-values from 12 or 24K respectively, you will yourself be able to calculate how many miles you have earned until now. You could also have a look in your transactions table and sum up all your flights after 24/11/2014 on your own.

If you log on to the main site through a computer, it looks like this, I'm sure you know already:

How to maintain your tier
Required number of Tier Miles: 12000

I can't subtract 24k I flew over that before the switch to new program and so many segments that I have no idea what I actually was at on the first day of new program

Website comes me error whenever I click on my account "communication error" and logs me out

Your surplus (above 20K) earned tier miles before 24/11/2014 have probably been expired, as you have been awarded an upgrade to the new GOLD tier, and have started on a new qualification period in the new programme from 24/11/2014. What does your "Required number of tier miles"-values in your statement say right now? Try another browser (IE seems to handle the new site well).

I am new to frequent flyer. If I fly for 24000 miles (and therefore earn gold for 2015-2016) by June 2015 and I earn more miles in September 2015. Will the miles in September 2015 count as tier miles for 2016-2017? or will the tier miles be reset on November 2015? Thank you!

You need to read the program rules more carefully. If you don't currently have status (and presumably you don't as a new member) you need an awful lot more than 24k miles! Take some time looking through this forum for help.

I do have gold status right now. I will be flying more this year compared to next year, so I am just wondering whether if I met the 24k miles already for this calendar year 2014-2015, will the excess miles be counted towards next year's tier miles 2015-2016? Thank you.

If you're already gold, your timer starts clicking on 24 Nov 2014. From this date you have 12 months to gain 24000 miles or 12000 miles plus 4 segments on A3/OA. Everything is explained in Wiki here http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/aegea...tails-m-b.html

Most people who have tried hard to understand the new T&C (like myself), believe that if you earn more tier miles than what's required to requalify before the current 12 month period ends, the excess tier miles earned will not roll over to the next period, and you will start from scratch with 0 tier miles after the 12 month period we're in now has ended.
