Nice, what was the price of the air ticket from UK? SQ is generally expensive.

Circa 1000 quids for W fare (100% miles), LHR -SIN-AKL/CHC return, May - June present year. Wanted fly that way, visit New Zealand where I never been to, and simply gain *Gold, but my wife did not want to stand for it

£1165 each. Last minute ticket bought on the day, a family emergency. LHR-SIN-CHC and return.

My gold-from-single-Y-trip was in the opposite direction - MEL to Europe and back on TG in Q, for about the same price.

Hello, my qualifying flight was May 17th, gold upgrade May 21st and card hasn't been delivered yet (to Europe). As I may see many people got their card event in distant part of the world, so shall I wait doing nothing or write to them or maybe try to reissiue lost card? Thanks!

Any issues with getting these mailed to a (relatively) local address in Greece, then changing address back to the US?

You could, but the gain would be minimal compared to the cost of, say, a 2-day UPS delivery from Greece to the US - as has been said in this thread, A3 batch prints the cards so the postal time isn't the largest significant factor by a long way.

I mean, more local than a US address. It'd be an address in Greece, just not near Athens

I'm in Singapore and it's been almost 3 months since my status was upgraded but I've yet to receive my card. Was denied entry into a lounge in Perth because they needed to swipe the card and all I had was an image of my card from the M&B mobile website.
