Fare Booking class is I and tickets are only valid for day of travelling .

These are not good things when compared to other programmes.

Dont forget that for a RT business TATL trip you will ONLY need 90 K instead of 105 K
OR 120K is enough for a FC RT TATL trip .

NEED I SAY MORE ?

Intra Far East redemptions are only 42k for a RT in C.

For example, SIN-HND, 21k miles each way for a 7 hour flight in C is worth it IMO.

I am looking at crediting miles to Aegean due to the easy *Gold status requirements.

However, does anyone have experience using Aegean miles to get Continental/United/US Airways reward tickets within the US? How easy/difficult is it?

thanks

They have the same inventory as any other *A member (no star blocking), and miles reedem at the same levels. The call center speaks decent english too. The only inconvenience is you have to book in conjunction with Greek Time Zone

Anyone have similar experiences and know what to do? I've contacted A3 by email but still haven't received any reply.

Thanks!
Add A3 to the front of the #
like if your number was 123 123 123, you should input A3-123 123 123

Good thing is that they still have the old redemption chart i.e 90K for a business RT TATL flight .

My 90K res was for CO 105 CHQ - ATH - EWR while for the return trip I 've used LX 053 BOS - ZRH - LHR .

They tend to have a lot of availability with LH flights , but they heavily promote CO codeshare flights .

It took me a week with 3 hours daily huggling with the Operator to get my ideal combination .

Do they charge YQ when redeeming for Star Alliance partner tickets?? THX!!

Yep

also, to clarify my earlier statement, it applies to us domestic itineraries only. I have no clue what happens internationally in terms of availability, and I believe that redemtion levels are a bit different too, although I'd have to check on that one.

comparing to CO onepass, aegean allows one stopover in each way while CO only allows one in all. but seems like Aegean charges expensive YQ surcharge, which CO does not.

award availibility

Does anyone know if A3 has good award availability? Does anyone have specific examples? If I don't have enough miles with A3 to book an award, but have enough UA miles to complete am I able to combine them? What about vice versatile?

No, you cannot combine miles between different FFPs, with rare exceptions like COUA, AA, BA, and CX. A3 has decent enough award availability - usually you can get an award on most routes if you are flexible by a day or 2.
