In light of today's SkyMiles program updates, can we add the new Global/Regional Upgrade Certificates to the list?

Systemwide upgrades is the best benefit for me, since I only travel internationally.

I nominate not giving out any award to Delta this year; they don't deserve one. Take-backs far outweighed anything on the positive side, and MQDs will cause me and quite a few others to either jump ship or sharply reduce business given to them, even though as a hub-captive there aren't many other options. And that's the real root of the problem: Not enough competition anymore, especially with FFPs.
Even if you start to count MQDs against 2014 and not fully until 2015, you've still got a program with both the worst award availability and highest cost in miles of the big three - and, tellingly, no real intent on the part of management to improve that status on either count that I've been able to detect.
While it's the job of Delta's own PR apparatus to accentuate the positive of what's left even after taking things back, FlyerTalk doesn't have to play along with this race-to-the-bottom. Just as the Nobel committee reserves the right not to award a prize in a given year and sometimes exercises that, I think this would be a good year to take the same perogative as far as Delta goes. Would be nice if that would be one of the options we could vote for (i.e. Don't give an award this year - too many negatives weighing against positives.) I think the fear with the powers that be at FT is that for some airlines, such an option might win.
