Good news with more Nordic presence. But this is a pretty bad location. Far outside Copenhagen in basically nowhere, close to the airport but not close enough to actually be useful as an airport hotel. It at least seems to be close to a metro station.

15 min to airport and 10-12 min to Central Copenhagen by metro.

Accor needs definitely more presence in Scandinavia.

An all-new hotel in Copenhagen, belonging to an international chain? An Accor property? Next to Field's and so close to the airport? I almost pissed my pants!

I can't believe that's true and cannot wait the three years we have to to see if this dream comes true...

PS. I concur that the location is really good, you can pretty much walk to the train station which is one stop away from the airport, or take the reliable metro there (both the station and the airport, with one change in the latter direction). The city centre is as close as it would be from Vesterbro or Norrebro, a large shopping centre is next door, and right in front of the hotel is the Bella Center, where all the important trade fairs and events take place (including the Fashion Week, one of the most important reasons to come to KBH). I really don't see Orestad as a bad location. Compared to some locations First, Scandic and Nordic Choice operate, it is first-rate, and even closer to transit than Marriott's AC hotel.

And for those who can't bear to stay anywhere outside the Indre By - a new 25hours should open next to the Rundetaarn by end of 2021 - of course this is good news only if 25hours does go through with integration into ALL.

Despite the pandemic, Accor CEE signed up a few new investments to go online 2022 in recent months:

ibis Styles and greet Kraków Airport
https://www.e-hotelarz.pl/wp-content...et-730x410.jpg
Not sure what is the point of having both ibis styles and greet in one location, but this marks the first time a greet hotel has been announced in CEE. Interestingly, while the brand was promoted as a inexpensive way for converting older properties to an Accor brand, this will be a totally new build.

Tribe Riga
https://www.e-hotelarz.pl/wp-content...-1-730x410.jpg
Riga is particularly well-served by Accor, but Tribe is a new arrival in terms of brands in Europe. Interestingly, it will be a conversion in a historic building (it used to be a Clarion Collection hotel) - not sure if the brand befits the project... As of October 2020, the hotel is already bookable under the generic "Accor" flag, but will be closed for a complete makeover.

Mövenpick Kołobrzeg
https://www.e-hotelarz.pl/wp-content...40-730x410.jpg
This brand is quite unexpected to appear among new builds, but then the area is popular among German-speaking tourists, and the property fills the gap in Accor's presence along the Baltic coastline (that I painfully felt in my days of travelling there),

Mövenpick Zakopane
https://www.e-hotelarz.pl/wp-content...-1-730x410.jpg
More Moevenpicks, you say? This one will go head-to-head against the massive Mercure Zakopane in Poland's most popular mountain resort. It will be a conversion of a historic building with a newly-built extension.

Mercure Bergo Szklarska Poręba
https://www.e-hotelarz.pl/wp-content...-2-730x410.jpg
One more popular mountain resort town gets a Mercure, enhancing the already well-established Accor presence along the mountains spanning the entirety of Poland's southern border.

Probably so, I would not fault them for not having opened up for the splendid summer season we've been having...
