Interesting, and in my mind a good idea to introduce higher tier(s).
I agree too that it would be good to find out earlier about the plan. Where RIGHT NOW would be the time to capitalize on Marriott members are leaving that brand, and FPC members not trusting Accor; Accor has come out with some marketing Fuzz.

Be PRECISE in your message to your members. Come out early enough with the information.
Honestly I don't think people would care that the new cycle starts only in 2020. But if there is something to look forward to, members will work on it NOW. Does Accor honestly think that lost members in 2019 will come back miraculously in 2020?

Now to the elephant in the room:

- Mr Bazin is WRONG. More Hyatt etc members book through their loyalty programs BECAUSE YOU HAVE A HORRIBLE IT SYSTEM AND CUSTOMER SERVICE!

a) Is Mr Bazin in denial?
b) Does he not get feedback from anybody?
I bet the problem is similar to Marriott: his IT/CS team is telling him that they got 99% of stuff right, elites are "overentitled" and it's just "noise around the edges' - look, the pretty new app we delivered - shiny, new object!!!!
He doesn't seem to realize that 99% is a poor record, if you are doing millions of transactions...unless hospitality starts looking outside their industry for IT best practices, I won't hold my breath for improvement...

Perhaps I should have named the middle tier "Pyrite" instead, after all, pyrite is known as "fool's gold". That's appropriate for Accor.

Had a good laugh. I was excited for about 10 seconds when I read the first line.

But in all seriousness some properties do deserve this comparison.
Some on the other hand have far better service than other hotel chains.

Also it made me realise how I really want to know "What the hell will we get in 2020 Accor!".

More details on ALL will be forthcoming later today, including on the two new status levels and new brands joining Le Club this year.

Whilst I am sure there is a lot you know that we may not, however on this particular subject... What do you know that we don't?

I fear I am going to feel lonely on this one , but I think this thread is turning a bit too much, IMHO, to Accor bashing and I am not fan of that. We don’t know anything yet about ALL and I am sure that a lot of people worked very hard at Accor HQ and at regional/local levels to build a revamped program and so we should pay a minimum of respect to those people and judge on facts. We know for sure that there are plenty of things that should be improved at Accor/LCAH, but there are also many things they do well and that we appreciate at their hotels.
Everyone is of course free to express a different opinion, but I felt the need to say that.
Now I am of course impatient to know more today

As in many other forums, hotel chains reach out directly through forums or also communicate with the mods.

Diamond tier requires 26000 status points a year. Benefits yet to be announced. Any guess? Breakfast benefit beyond the Asia Pacific region? More bonus points? Guaranteed late check out or/and early check in? Any more ?

platinum gold silver benefit remain the same
