CIMB Niaga together with AccorHotels and Mastercard announces its very first co-branded credit card in Indonesia - ”CIMB Niaga Le Club AccorHotels Card”. Launched in two types; Platinum and World, enabling customers to pay at over 4,600 AccorHotels properties in over 100 countries globally. Every transaction using this credit card will earn reward points that can be exchanged for free stays in AccorHotels properties.The CIMB Niaga PLATINUM Le Club AccorHotels card comes with welcome bonuses, exclusive offers, as well as access to AccorHotels events and travel privileges. The CIMB Niaga WORLD Le Club AccorHotels cardholders will be able to fast-track to Silver status membership with Accor Plus, the Group’s Asia Pacific wide hotel, dining and lifestyle programme, which includes a free night at selected AccorHotels’ properties in Asia Pacific and 50% discount privileges in over 1100 restaurants. This is great news, especially if it is a first step. CIMB, as you know is a Malaysian bank which I happen to use. Do you know if Malaysian CIMB will follow ??? I will get their credit card in a flash if it does.

I don’t think so. This is reward points and not status points. That kind of partnership between credit cards and hotels/airlines is usually very lucrative for partners involved.

except for UK, unfortunately in Europe there are no options at all for any hotel chains ...

it’s my wet dream since a lot of time 😃

only option are the American Express MR with insane ratio conversion to hotel points

Solution is simple: move to Indonesia.
We have a healthy and cosy LCAH community in this region

i still have my project to move in Bali, after my retirement... 😁

but I will not need LCAH anymore....
