Or two days ago in my case, first time I have received a gift as I am also an Accor Plus member which seemed to eliminate such mailings in the past. Now I know what everyone was talking about, very nice and much appreciated!

I mean, now that they've ticked off luggage tags and passport holders perhaps they'll move on to suite upgrade vouchers, or cheese, or flannels...

The luggage tag is decent quality, in difference to all the luggage tags you receive from airlines, credit card companies, etc.
For me personally, it's more that I get a number of baggage tags each year (and I'm not even a super-frequent traveller), more than I can use.

Besides the passport holder and a notebook received last month, today the luggage tag was arrived too. Two sets of present in one year

I should (assuming they calculate things correctly) have passed 14K status points this weekend, so will be Platinum for the first time. If you newly qualify midyear, do they typically send out a full membership pack or do you have to wait until the beginning of the following year?
