Interesting to see them continue to expand the brand, however, I noticed the future Fairmont Zhengzhou mysteriously disappear from the upcoming hotels listed on Fairmont's website. Anyone know what happened?

Fairmont will compete with Conrad in that part of the city. This particular Conrad is very solid in my opinion, so it will be interesting to compare.

Fun. I love all these "developments" reminds me of 2007, before they were all canceled amidst the recession.

View of the construction site from Conrad, which is right next door to where the Fairmont will be. The project is well under way.

Looks like the new Fairmont building will block the Han river views of many of the rooms at the Conrad.

Thanks for the reminder not to stay at Conrad at the moment (and for the foreseeable future).

Not my favorite location. Tough to beat the Four Seasons in this market.
