We have returned to the Grand Mercure Xi'an Renmin Square. Welcome gift is pretty much identical to the last one above. Good to see consistency (they even gave us the exact same suite for our upgrade)

Hotel: Swissotel The Stamford

I'm not too happy with this to be honest. I had to call up to remind them to send it as they forgot. No welcome letter and note either. Somewhat expected since it was a 1000 room hotel. So service might not be personalized.
