We also had something similar at the pullman zhuhai especially using the icing sugar to make the pullman brand. Only we were missing the bubbles...

Hotel: Mercure Liverpool Atlantic Tower, UK
Status: Gold
VIP treatment: an assortment of biscuits, chocolates and jelly beans; some strawberries and a bottle of water (+ water, coke and tonic from the minibar)
Reaction: Good variety, nicely presented, already in the room when I checked-in.

Hotel: ibis Łódź Centrum, Poland
Status: Gold
VIP treatment: two cookies and some jelly beans, two bottles of water - prepared in two (!) rooms
Reaction: I was nicely surprised since ibis hotels don't normally offer anything. It must have been added recently - I didn't get anything earlier this year at this hotel.

Hotel: Novotel Warszawa Centrum, Poland
Status: Gold
VIP treatment: a small bottle of sparkling water, a jar with 1 small muesli bar cut into three pieces, 1 slice of Black Forest ham (or similar smoked ham) wrapped and put into another jar, a small fork
Reaction: one of the most absurd sets I have seen this year

Novotel Breda, The Netherlands

Novotel Breda
Check-in after midnight. Friendly staff.
Received drink vouchers for 2. Bar was closed, but I could have drink if I wanted, he could take everydrink.
In the room 4 small bottles of water. Small note and some dutch cookies, stroopwafels.
Upgraded to the best available room....it's easy everything is the same. But I know that.
Overall much better then my last 2 check-ins in France (Lille)

Hotel: Sofitel Singapore City Centre
Status: Platinum
VIP treatment: Some Chocolates and Barley drink.
Reaction: Not happy. Considering I paid over $250SGD for the room. The hotel needs to learn how to do a proper welcome amenity as the one given to me is not Platinum standards in my opinion.

Hotel: ibis Hamburg City
Status: Platinum
VIP treatment: Fruit Basket with a couple of chocolates
Reaction: was flabbergasted - never had a welcome gift at an ibis before. Not the greatest of fruit baskets, but a complete surprise.

Interesting, my room didn't feel tired at all. Yeah, there were some skill lacking at check out, the girl at the reception needed to ask somebody else to add the ibis business discounts to the bill, but other than that I was pretty happy. No problem with the (very) early check in and late check out. They also gave me the premium wifi code for the stay (doesn't happen at all German ibises).

Stay at So Singapore twice last year as Silver and then 2 months later as Gold

The welcome amenity is exactly the same on both occasions
Some cookies I believe

Got a bottle of red wine as Gold due to the hotel didnt have upgrade available.
Interestingly I not even ask for upgrade at that time, the FD proactively offer me that.
