My post from earlier this year:

"I stayed at the Chicago Sofitel Magnificent Mile last weekend and received a litre bottle of Evian and 3 chocolates on sticks that were nicely presented. Neglected to take a picture."

fortunately no... Sofitel can do much better.

But, in this days of our vacation in USA i’m understanding a lot more the difference between American, European and Asian sense of hospitality....

The Sofitel Brisbane blew me away with their welcome amenity last night.

Tea!!

i suppose I have to be thankful that it was “extra special”.

Furthermore, I received an upgrade to Premium Room eventough Front Desk had informed me the day before my arrival that there are no Premium Rooms left for my dates.
Complimentary late check-out was at my discretion, I chose to check-out at 16:30. I had a train to catch to Zaventem Airport at 18:00 so this was perfect.

I am still not able to post any pics at the forum, otherwise I would gladly illustrate.

It depends if you are a tea drinker. I would have loved it.

Exactly. I wouldn't have had any use for it. I'm not even aware any of my friends being big tea drinkers. Had they offered a quality wine however...
