Berlin City Ost charging 11 euros per breakfast. This is despite their leaflets saying Gratis-Fruhstuck.

For those who want breakfast, this (unannounced, of course) change has made some properties significantly more expensive. The rates haven't dropped, but the add-on for breakfast can be huge, especially when there is a Red Hot Rooms rate.

IBIS Styles LHR quotes both chargeable and free on website. It's free but you can pay a slightly adventurous 6 pounds for a hot roll.

More strangeness on this one - I booked an advance purchase rate for the Ibis Styles Krabi Ao Nang, which specifically said breakfast was excluded, and offered me a breakfast add-on to purchase (which I ignored). When I checked in, the agent told me my rate includes breakfast.
