Looks like you'll be waiting a while

Sofitel Wuhan and Sofitel Xingyi set for a 2023 opening, no mention of the other two.

Sofitel Adelaide was originally announced as a 2018 opening, and is now looking at 2020. We'll see how far that gets pushed back. As an Adelaide local, I can't wait to see it when it opens. The first new build 5* property in Adelaide for the last 30 years.

As an ex Oakbank local (memories)..
You will now have access to a lounge at the Pullman. Should have opened a week or so ago.

Starflyer gold posted this in 2015...

So maybe some hotels signed up may never open if the contract was voided.

It seems that Accor is finally entering Croatia with a Novotel in an awful location on the outskirts of Zagreb.

Raffles Shenzhen opening soon

So when chatting to the staff at Sofitel Guangzhou lounge front desk. They mentioned one of their staff members moved to the Shenzhen Raffles recently. While it is not listed on the Accor website as yet, the hotel is hoping to open at the end of December.

I contacted the staff member by wechat and she confirmed they are doing their best to open before the end of the year.

The hotel is 35-46 floors of the Shenzhen One tower. 168 rooms

I was thinking, should I ask if I can get an early visit in before opening and take pictures of rooms/suites and facilities? If it was you would you do it?

The Pavilion Hotel, which sits on top of the luxurious Pavilion Mall in Kuala Lumpur will be managed by Banyan Tree.
Right across the road from the Pullman KLCC.
For now, no advantages yet for LCAH. Hopefully by next year.

Hi Dear members,

Thanks a lot for your questions.
Unfortunately, i can't inform you about all openings because i don't have all this information, but there is a link that can be useful for you : https://www.accorhotels.com/gb/leclu...rs/index.shtml
This is an x4 point offer for members when opening hotels.

Best regards,

They are part of the program. What you can expect as a plat member:
Welcome drinks.
Free breakfast for all residents staying in members room/suite (Asia pac only).
Room upgrade possible up to Junior suite. (slightly dissapointed on this though the price difference between junior and the next level is quite big).
Late and early checkout.
No Lounges in Raffles hotels.

I am just keeping an eye on this opening in Shenzhen. I Hope I am able to get a really good rate if booked before opening through the contact I have. Hopefully the Accor app or website will show it listed soon if they want to open by the end of the year.

Non-participating in Accor Plus.
Participating in Le Club, as @tris06 mentioned.

Some updates from my contact preparing for the opening of Raffles Shenzhen.

Soft opening with a few rooms will be from January 2019.
They actually open their conference room first on the 31st of December 2018.
Grand opening will be in March 2019.

The will have 2 room types:
Deluxe room 60 square meter.
Premier room 72 square meter.

4 types of suites:
Junior suite 75 square meter. (I was told that the view is different for the next level up hence the huge jump in size and the minor size increase from the Premier room to the Junior suite.
Suite type 2 190 square meter.
Suite type 3 261 square meter.
Suite type 4 434 square meter.

I will ask about full rate rack pricing in early December but it is believed that full pricing will start from around 2500rmb per night (320 Euros) but this was not decided yet.

Orbis, Accor's CEE subsidiary, continues to be on a roll with three new signings announced this week, all three to to open in 2020:
  • Mercure in Katowice, Poland
  • Mercure + Ibis combo in Warsaw, Poland
  • Ibis Bucharest Politehnica
While the Warsaw property is in a puzzling location (not really convenient for anything but metro access, but then Warsaw has so many other Accor hotels close to the metro), the Katowice one literally fills in a glaring gap. Katowice were the largest city in Poland without an Accor hotel in a convenient location, as the refurbished 1970s Novotel is quite a bit away from the train station, and out of the small walkable part of the city. The Mercure, on the other hand, will be right in front of the main entrance to the train station and shopping gallery, and will be placed on an empty lot that I have long thought would be perfect for a hotel (not to mention was quite unsightly in an otherwise nice historic city centre of Katowice).
